The Park Surgery is a busy semi rural practice in the Cotswold market town of Cirencester. The practice is sited on the edge of Cirencester in purpose-built premises opened in 1991. The building was extended in 1995 to accommodate a District Nursing team on site, in order to provide a relatively seamless pathway of care. The Park Surgery is fully computerised using new technology, and aims to become a noteless/paperless practice as soon as technology allows. The practice is linked electronically for registration of patients and IOS claims. A computerised appointments system was added in January 2000. Plans are in place for the addition of Pathology links during 2000 and access to the NHSnet is also anticipated at this time. We are fully registered under the Data Protection Act. The practice is part of the Cotswold Primary Care Group and is committed to the development of a local health vision of local health needs. List sizeThe practice has a dynamic list size of approximately 7600 patients. As of 7th June 2000, the list is broken down as follows:

Out of Hours ServiceThe practice is part of the Cotswold Doctor On Call (CDOC) cooperative that is in place in the South Cotswolds area. This is a multi-practice partnership between all the S. Cotswold practices (Cirencester, Fairford, Lechlade, Rendcomb and Tetbury). It covers a population base of approximately 43000 patients and the commitment per doctors averages out at approx. three 6 hour sessions per month. For further information, please contact either:
